Mikepércs: Siskin

According to the weather forecast it was to be sunny today, however I had to start to photography in thick fog. I was hoping it would clear up later so that I could take some action shots as well. But it was foggy for hours.
The first shots have been taken of a siskin which landed on the side of the pool to have some water:

The water was covered by a thin layer of ice but this bird was able to find some drops of water:

Soon the sparrow hawk appeared, ...:

... it looked round, then left soon.

After the fog has disappeared, a few greenfinches landed too:

In the sunshine I could take some action shots:

Mikepércs: Goldfinch And Greenfinches

As soon as I got into the hide this morning, a goldfinch appeared on the branch in front of the hide. I aimed at it at once, but it flew off after 2 shots:

But the greenfinches appeared soon as well:

A decent flock have gathered and jarrings took place quite often:

Suddenly the sparrow hawk landed on the side of the pool about 2 meters from me, but beeing so close, it started on the first shot of a continuous shooting. At the second shot it was still in the frame:

The greenfinches returned regularly:

I've been very happy for the appearance of the flock of greenfinches and I hope I'll be able to take more action shots of them in the future.

Mikepércs: Tits, Sparrow Hawk And Greenfinch

The snow didn't last long, it's melting, but the hoary plants are nice on pictures with birds on them:

The sparrow hawk showed itself again but spent there only a couple of minutes:

Later the sun made the pictures more vivid:

One of the greenfinches landed on the side of the still snowy pool and it was picking some snow:
