It's about 2 months since I last took a decent photo of some bird. Today I managed to do it again, I missed it very much! During these weeks I rearranged the bathing pool and the hide and I gave it a try yesterday. There were no birds except of a female sparrow hawk which landed on a branch nearby. Unfortunately there would be no reason to take photos of it because of the ugly background. But I hope I will see it again in the future.
Today I've made another attempt.
Getting into the hide I make myself comfortable and listen to the sounds hereabout. I could hear a robin then tits and blackbirds. But I'm listening to the voices of the goldcrests with even more pleasure. I soon observe a couple of them in a bush. If only they came close! But they don't intend to. All right, some day perhaps ... Suddenly I can hear the voices of the fieldfares. So, they have arrived! The members of a flock are pulling away one after the other about 40 meters from me. I want them very much as well. Jays are romping among the poplars nearby, then one of them is landing on a branch hereabout. I'm looking into the viewfinder but it's not the best at all. But it's coming closer, landing right at the end of the pool:
Jay
Jay
Another one is landing on top of the bush nearby, however it's too high for me. Then one of them is about to land at the side of the pool when the piece of wood placed there is falling off. The jay is frightened by this and flies away. I stay in the hide waiting for something to come, but as nothing appears I leave the place.
