Late Autumn In Bükk Mountains

This weekend I set off to Bükk mountains again, arriving at Lillafüred at late afternoon. Next day I visited a few view places, then on the third day Három-kő was among my plans. I arrived there in the morning. In the opposite valley some fog made the pictures more interesting:

I started my last day on a view place with a look towards the Dédes castle where the lower areas were covered by fog:

Moments in Bükk and Zemplén mountains

I spent a whole week hiking in the Bükk and Zemplén mountains in the hope of some autumn photos.

On the first day I soaked a bit in the long rain but on the next day I found a nice view place near the road between Mályinka and Bánkút. These shots were taken there:

The clouds slowly disappeared but I still could take advantage of the hazy air and the sun:

Next morning I visited the "Dédes castle". The valleys were covered by low clouds:

This is the "Small castle":

I liked so much this hazy landscape that I climbed again on the "small castle" next morning, where I shot these photos:

It was worth carrying the tele lens with me!

After a few days I went to the Zeplén mountains, where I climbed from Füzér to the look-out tower on the Nagy-Milic peak. These shots were taken there:

The fog extends through the valleys:

Mikepércs: Macro shooting

This morning I go for small creatures in the meadow nearby:

A bumblebee is getting enmeshed in the cobweb of a wasp spider, ...:

... but escapes as soon as the spider gets close.

High Tatras: At The Chalet At Green Lake Again

In February I liked so much the surroundings at the chalet at Green Lake that I decided to go back again in summer or in autumn. Well, summer has come and I found the weather adequate for a three day trip.
Of course the summer landscape is completely different of the winter's, the rampant colour beeing green instead of white, the stream is not frozen. But the peaks are cloudy just as last time:

I spend the night in a big dormitory at the chalet, where about ten people have gathered by the evening.
Next morning I start the day with a stroll around the lake taking photos of course:

After the abundant breakfast in the chalet I aimed to reach the Jahnací peak (2230 m). Getting to a small lake on my way I catch sight of a chamois jumping from stone to stone in the lake. My presence doesn't disturb it at all, it's got used to the many tourists obviously:

After a steep climb I reach the saddle. The peak is only about a few hundreds meters from there. On my way the valleys offer a beautiful view being lighted by the sunrays at places:

I don't spend too much time on the peak, but on my way back I take a long rest on the ridge. Suddenly I notice a chamois ambleing up the trail followed by its kid:

On my way back I can see a group of chamois at the lake with a charming kid among them:

I get a small rain before getting down, but after the rain a beautiful rainbow appears above the valley of the Green Stream:

Evening at the Green Lake:

The next morning the sun is shining again. Mallards can be seen on the lake, they are very tame, many people feed them so they rest often on the shore:

After breakfast I set off back to the car but on my way I stop frequently to make some shots:

Mikepércs: Shrike

Photographing the bee-eaters I discovered another place nearby where there are other birds too, like red-backed shrikes and stonechats. Today I'm having a try on this place.
The male shrike is just coming:

There are youngs as well but this time they stay away.
