Mikepércs: Snowing

It's been snowing recently, so there was more snow then it was last time. I thought it would be great if it were snowing today.
The bird were active at the feeder. Even they can make some snowing:

Suddenly it began snowing, nice small flakes were falling:

When the snowing started to ease, I started my way home satisfied, as I managed to improve my photos with some snowflakes.

Mikepércs: Winter Has Arrived

The winter's first snow has fallen at last. So, the birds must be visiting the feeder more intensively. And they are. A woodpecker, ...:

Suddenly the sparrow hawk appeared and settled on top of a branch:

He did some observation there, then landed on the pile of branches and stayed there long. After some time he left and the small birds could return:

Mikepércs: Poor Bird Activity

We are in the middle of the winter and the thermometer shows 10°C outside! And not minus! But let's see what's going on at the feeder!
Only a few tits can be seen near the feeder, but later a few more come. Then a few tree sparrows appear too. A siskin is landing at the pool for a few moments to have some water. It's followed by another one soon. Meanwhile a greenfinch appears in front of me, but there are more nearby according to the sounds:

After having some food, the sparrows are pulling away. The greenfinches as well. The tits keep coming regularly but not continuously. If they were eating only for decency:

Marsh Tit

Some of them are searching insects nearby.
So, there was not a real bird activity. But I'm not surprised at all. In such weather...

Mikepércs: In Sunshine At The Drinking Pool

The sun was shining today at last. Recently I could photograph mainly in poor light conditions, so the sunshine refreshing in such a way:

The ice of the pool is melting slowly dispite of the temperature above freezing point. But at least the birds can drink:

By the strong lights I could try to catch some sparrow-actions:

The sparrow hawk appeared as well today, but it landed on a bad place, so I didn't photograph it.
