Mikepércs: Still In Snow

There's some snow again, I make another try with the juniper branch.
The tits are coming to the seeds placed on the frozen pool:

The great tits are picking the juniper berries more and more often:

Somehow the jays haven't come today, the sparrows stayed away too. I could hear the hawfinches but they haven't appeared in front of me I'm afraid.

Mikepércs: Winter Feeling Again

Today I would have liked to transmit the winter feeling again with my photos, so I purchased some nice frosty plants.
After the tits the jays appear soon, one of them lands on the snowy landing branch. In the next moments it makes a jump sweeping off almost all the frost from one of the plants :(
The tits are the next ones, but they don't do such a thing:

The blue tits realize that the blue juniper berries are edible:

Mikepércs: Some Winter Feeling

Today I wanted to show more of the winter feeling making some changes in the surroundings. I have changed some twigs except this one with nice berries:

The vegetation is still frosty thanks to the cold weather:

Mikepércs: Winter Begins

I started feeding the birds a week ago at the usual place, and this morning I want to see the results and of course I want to do some photography.
Soon after I placed the landing branch the flock of tits are coming:

Suddenly a pheasant cock is walking near my hide in silence, but I know he's sneaking to the feeder to pick up the fallen seeds. After some time he's coming back with interest to the frozen drinking pool where I have placed the seeds and with a light jump he's on top of the pool. I haven't placed too much seed and what I've placed it's gone by this time, so my pheasant is unlucky as he can't find anything:

However he tries the little blue berries of my landing branch! He doesn't like it so he leaves.
As soon as I've placed some food again the tits are back:

The jays appear as well, they come for the sunflower seed one after the other. For my greatest pleasure one of them is even jumping on my branch:

Mikepércs: Dwindled Activity

My last time's try at the pont was a disaster for I wasn't able to take a single expo. I saw one or two little grebes farther, but most of them having disappeared, just like the many coots, of which I didn't see a single one. That's why I moved the hide near the opposite bank where I had seen the little grebes. And today I was hoping to be more lucky.
There was some rain yesterday and seeing the fog this morning I'm hoping to take some foggy shots. There's not much light yet when two young and an adult moorhen are coming out of the reed. They don't come too close, yet I'm giving a try:

The adult moves farther, but the youngs don't go with it, they are picking the food out of water nearby. It takes some time for them to get closer. The Sun is shining by this time:

Young Moorhen

At last a young little grebe is swimming quickliy near the hide followed by its company who is doing a quick preening on its way:

After some time they return swimming as close as 2-3 meters from me:

Unfortunately there wasn' happening too much this morning, it seems that this year's water photography is coming to an end.

Mikepércs: Little Grebes

I expected birds among flowers again on my photos today. The small violet flowers are still there, only birds should land next to them.
The birds don't come too early this morning, first the young little grebes ...:

Young Little Grebe

... then the young white wagtails appear, ...:

... one of them lands among the flowers to spend its time with preening:

Other grebes are coming too at last:

The water is full of weed so the grebes sometimes have to make serious efforts to get rid of these plants after a plunge:
