Făgăraș: Redstarts

In July I aimed for the Făgăraș and Retezat mountains again combined with a rest at Padiş where I could make some good shots on grey wagtails last year. This time I couldn't see many of them at the Ponor Meadow, I recorded only a white wagtail:

I arrived at Făgăraș in rainy weather but it was worth climbing on the Capra peak next morning:

In the afternoon it was the birds' turn:

Mikepércs: Another Honey Buzzard!

After a few weeks I got into the hide again at the pool. I thought the birds would come because of the heat. That's how it happened, a honey buzzard came to drink, ...:

Padiş: Ring Ouzel

On my way to Ciucaș Mountains I stopped at Padiş, perhaps I could make some good bird shots. There were quite lots of white wagtails:

The ring ouzels, song thrushes and fieldfares were feeding diligently, they were hunting for earthworms:
