This morning the birds were really active at the bathing pool:

It's very cold nowadays, but that doesn't hold me back from the weekend's photography. The good news is that generally cold weather attracts more birds to the feeder.

The bramblings appear quickly in a fair number:

Later a pheasant appears. Not a male this time, but a female followed by another one. They are walking cautiously closer and closer but I'm unable to make decent shots of them. Then the third one comes up. They are searching for seeds for a while before they sneak away.

This time I managed to record the levitation :)

I'm setting off to my hide with high expectations this morning as it snows. Not heavily, but anyway the flakes are falling.

I manage to record some winter spirit with the tits:

Mikepércs: Bramblings

I would have liked to get the bramblings step on the "stage" for long. Until now they have searched the seeds only on the ground.
As soon as they appear I pay my attention only on them. One of them lands on the side of the pool for a moment:

They are quite cautious, don't spend too much time around the pool.
Meanwhile I manage to catch this blue tit while making a jump:

Mikepércs: New Year's Day Photography

It's new year's day. Going to a morning photography at this time is special because there's nobody on the streets of the village, everyone is sleeping at this hour. The birds don't!

The morning is very cloudy, so I can only get photos of the motionless birds:

I catch sight of a female brambling on the ground. It lands after a while on the landing branch, ...:

In silence, as usual, a pheasant cock walks in too, and having found the seeds behind the pool starts to pick them up. When I try to photograph him he raises his head, ...:
