Padis: Moments From January

Perhaps there is some snow left on the trees at Padis... I started with this hope to Padis at dawn on Saturday. And there was, but only on places protected from the sun, as the valley of Crișul Pietros river:

Vlădeasa Mountains

It was expected cold but sunny weather for the weekend, with some snowfall before. I've been planning a trip for a while to Vlădeasa peak and this time I went for it. I expected more snow up there, but the snowy pines look nice anyway in the afternoon ...:

Padiș: Autumn Moments

Autumn in Padiș can be beautiful, espacially when the weather and the lights are favorable. This was only partly true this time. Here, I expected a nice sunset at the Boga belvedere:

Next day I set off to the Evantai waterfall:

The water yield decreased everywhere, the waterfall was no exception:

Făgăraș Mountains-Padiş: Looking For Crocuses

I added 2 more days to the weekend at first of May and travelled to the Făgăraș Mountains to see the crocuses in the Sâmbetei valley. On the way I stopped at Pișoaia waterfall hoping that there was more water at this time of year. Indeed, more water was flowing in the stream but I uppload only this image:

Next day I climbed to the Sâmbetei valley:

I couldn't make many trips up there as there was still a lot of snow and avalanche risk, so I set off home earlier than planned and from this reason I stopped at Padiş. Crocuses were blooming there too:

Apuseni Mountains: Autumn In Padis

Autumn has come. Another reason to go. :) For autumn colours and feeling. The target is: Apuseni Mountains, Padis. I'm travelling on a rainy day, but I like it because the landscape will be exciting after the rain! After arriving at Glavoi Meadow around noon I start to the Galbena Rock. I'm there in an hour or so. In the valley there are still clouds, but they are dissolving:

Fog has formed next morning, and I'm heading to the Ponor Meadow. The fog is dissolving rapidly in the sunshine and the Ponor Stream appears as well:

Today I visit the Galbena Gorge too. This is the Galbena Stream ...:

The hazy mornings fall away next days. I decide to go down to the Boga Valley, there are more to visit there too, for example the Boga Stream ...:

Padis is beautiful in autumn, so I have to return here in the future!
