I didn't meet the wood warbler often around my hide. Today we met:

Becoming enthusiastic over yesterday's success today I visited again the bathing pool at the Great Forest (this period is great!). The blackcaps have arrived:

Even the collared doves got used to the pool:

The goldfinches come here in flocks:

This goldfinch used the willow branch beside the pool the following way: It walked slowly towards the end of the branch ...:

... which bent down under the weight of the bird. Then it could drank from the branch (why was this better then drinking from the pool's side is a mystery:

The cautious jay has also landed on the side of the pool for a drink:

Today was another successful day which started with a chiffchaff:

This blackbird is busy gathering stuff for its nest and it has found my bathing pool as an ideal place for this purpose (However I was not very happy about that):

And here's one of my favourites whose subtle voice can be heared often near the scots pine but quite seldom comes to the pool and then it's difficult to catch because of its swift move:

I hoped that the bathing pool would be visited sometime by birds of prey. This happened today as a sparrow hawk landed on it and was drinking some water:
