Mikepércs: Bee-Eaters II.

I'm giving another try at the bee-eaters' place.
Shortly after their arrival I can hear some patter noise from above. I realize that raindrops are pattering on the top of my hide :)
The rain appears on the images as well but it doesn't last long:

It looks like the birds don't always enjoy each others company:

A little attention from the partner:

Of course, before giving it over the sting should be eliminated from the gift:

It is bad manner giving back the gift:

Meanwhile the sun shines brighter and brighter:

Spitting out a pellet:

Something is very dusty somewhere here:

By backlight one could think that all these things are happening on a starry night:

Mikepércs: Bee-Eaters I.

In the meadow nearby there are many bee-eaters for years. They dig burrows in the sand along the dirt road. I planned to photograph them this year too.
I have my first try today using a hide made of branches. I get up at half past three, and I'm sitting in the hide after four o'clock. At around half past four I can hear the voices of the coming bee-eaters who settle soon on the landing branch, and after a while there are three of them:

The morning starts with preening:

Well, this is too small:

My mate is coming:

The partner is not really happy to get such a moth with so much powder:

They eat mostly small insects. I haven't seen a dragonfly this year in the meadow, but the bee-eaters don't seem to find any either.

Mikepércs: Blackcap

Practically everything worth mentioning was happening within 5 minutes this morning:

After the hawfinch only a blackcap lands but it's not much interested for water:

Mikepércs: Chalkhill Blue

By the pleasant afternoon lights I'm having a try with the butterflies on the meadow nearby:

Mikepércs: Oriole Again

Second try at the drinking pool. It's a sunny morning. The first bird is a hawfinch however it lands in a wrong place. After that nothing for a long time, then suddenly I can hear an oriole's voice nearby. The bird is landing on a visible branch. I try to move slowly my lens but in the next moment it's sitting on the pool! I have counted on at least on this very species here. By a strong backlight I could make it this way:

Golden Oriole (female)

After a few sips it flies off.
Then a chiffchaff comes. I'm less successful with it. Later a spotted flycatcher lands for a bath:

Spotted Flycatcher

I don't manage to take a decent photo of the blackcap that cames after that.
It's not a huge activity but it's promising that more and more species appear.
