Vekeri-Lake: Looking For Grebes

This year the Veri-Lake was filled up with water. But yellow flowers have covered its surface too. I became curious about how the birds would look like among these flowers. Previously I have caught a swan from the shore, ...:

... but I wanted to make closer photos. Thats why I've given a try today at dawn from a self-made raft. The great crested grebe gave me some chance, ...:

I'm sitting in the hide in front of the drinking pool again. I always count on the blackcaps, this time the male does appear:

Făgăraș Mountains-Padiş: Looking For Crocuses

I added 2 more days to the weekend at first of May and travelled to the Făgăraș Mountains to see the crocuses in the Sâmbetei valley. On the way I stopped at Pișoaia waterfall hoping that there was more water at this time of year. Indeed, more water was flowing in the stream but I uppload only this image:

Next day I climbed to the Sâmbetei valley:

I couldn't make many trips up there as there was still a lot of snow and avalanche risk, so I set off home earlier than planned and from this reason I stopped at Padiş. Crocuses were blooming there too:

Mikepércs: Nightingale

I could hear the nightingale's sound this year too nearby the drinking pool but I could see it as well this morning.

First it took a look at my hide then flew away. But after some time it returned to land at the side of the drinking pool:

Birds don't really want to come to the pool. There are long tailed tits, a wren is always there around the hide, a robin appears sometimes as well but I couldn't take a decent shot of them. Today the birds appear only late in the morning at the water:

I planned to photograph at the drinking pool this year too. I gave it a try in march already but with no success. Today however I managed to shoot a yellowhammer:

High Tatras: Winter At The Chalet At Green Lake

A good start of the year! :) The first week of January is in the administrative break, so I decided to spend a few days in High Tatras, it must be some snow there even if there's none in the lower regions. However I had to realise that even at 2000 meters there's not too much snow. My last destination was the Chalet at Green Lake. The situation was better there, as it was snowing a little during the previous days. Towards the end of the valley the landscape was getting nice:

Banat: Visiting Waterfalls

I planned to visit some beautiful waterfalls in Banat, Romania this autumn: La Văioaga, Beusniţa, Bigăr and Moceriş waterfalls. At the gorges of the Nera river I was told that Beusniţa waterfall didn't have water because of draught but the La Văioaga was "working". One afternoon I witnessed it:
