Mikepércs: Tits on Pussy Willows

According to weather forecast it was to be raining today, so I was very happy to wake up for a more or less sunny morning. I was hoping to catch the bramblings today which appeared several times recently under the feeder picking seeds there but I haven't been prepared for this until now. This time however I set the table for them using nice green moss. One of them did land there but before it could settle down on a good place came a regular woodpecker and bundled it off. And the brambling didn't return any more. So the tits remained for me. But I like them, they are the birds that you can always count on:

Today morning I sat into the hide made for buzzard photography. I was waiting for them for about 3 hours but they didn't come. Only two hooded crows landed but didn't stay long. So I decided to visit the hide near the feeder. The tits were very active, the sun was shining brightly so I was able to take some action shots:

Mikepércs: Catching the Blue Tit

Today a tried to catch some good moments at the feeder but perhaps for the springlike weather the tits were a bit more moderate. Having caught this Blue Tit in flight was a compensation:

Mikepércs: Birds in Snowing

When I woke up today morning it was snowing. I would have liked for long to take photos in snowing. This has happened today. Beside the usual tits any woodpeckers a few bramblings came to have some food from the ground but I didn't manage to take shots of them. On the other hand I managed to record the only blue tit that is visiting the feeder:

Mikepércs: Magpies and Hooded Crows Instead of Buzzards

Today I tried out my new hide made especially for buzzard photography. I've been carring meat there for several weeks now which has been eaten and of course buzzards could be seen nearby. So I got into the hide this morning with good hopes. After about one and a half hour two magpies appeared, watched the meat but didn't touch it. Shortly they flew away but soon reappeared:

Then two hooded crows came. They were very cautios too and were looking attentively for long:

Then they took off and I noticed a cat coming straight towards the meat. It didn't make me happy and I wasn't sure that I could bundle it off without attracting the birds' attention. Fortunately it ran away when heard me saying "shoo!", and the birds were back again shortly:

Then at last the buzzard landed a little further and it seemed to be very cautios. It was looking attentively for long then walked further. After a few minutes flew away. But came back soon. This time the hooded crows landed as well and started to harass the buzzard then they all flew away. Later the buzzard landed for the third time, but after a short break went away without eating:

I don't know what troubled it, I will be perhaps more lucky next time.

Today I visited the feeder again. I was hoping that the finches would pay a visit because last time the bramblings appeared around the feeder, they were picking the seeds that fell down. On the other hand only the tits and the woodpeckers visited the feeder this time too. And fair shots were taken only of the tits but this time the good lights were on my side:

Mikepércs: Tits in Rain - Instead of Snow

I was hoping today I could record the birds while snowing. On my way to the feeder it started snowing so I kept on hoping, but soon it stopped and when I got into the hide it started raining. This didn't seem to hold them from coming continously to the feeder:

Mikepércs: Some Tit Action

Being a fine, sunny day, today I went for action shots at the feeder. The tits were very busy with feeding themselves, sometimes disagreements took place:

The other morning I found a frozen sparrow under the bird feeder at home, so I took it with me today to see if something interesting would happen if I put it on a visible place on the snow. After some time a jay observed it, pecked it a few times then seeing no signs of life from the sparrow picked it up and flew away:
