Frost And Sunshine

The Hoarfrost lasted for today, which meant I started the day with photography.
I placed a frosty plant near the present landing branch:

Mikepércs: Frosty Day

Nowadays the forests nearby are beeing cut. Among the trees there are scotts pines as well and I feel sorry especially for these ones. In the place of the trees there are only the cut branches and twigs. Last time I chose a few nice-looking ones, today I've used these ones for photography.

A thick hoarfrost have been developed during the night on the twigs and the tits are not very difficult to lure on them:

Mikepércs: Snow-frosts Again

This morning I started again the photography with the snow-frosts on the window of the hide:

Then come the usual tits:

Mornings the thermometer shows very low temperatures, still I'm always very curious to know what's happening at the feeder.

When I look into the hide I discover these snow-frosts on the side window:

Then the birds come:

The pheasant cock comes too with his inaudible paces, but I'm unable to take a decent shot of him because of the vegetation. Moreover he settles under a bush to have a rest. I can see him well but the plants and the grass in front of him prevent me from taking a good shot of him.

By this morning the neighbourhood has been covered by heavy fog. I didn't plan any bird photography for today, only to fill up the feeder. In addition I went to see how the Vekeri lake looks like in the fog. I was welcomed by this sight:

Some snowing was to be expected for today.

In the morning I set off enthusiastically, for it's snowing a bit. Unfortunately not intensely enough. And it's melting too. The tits are coming but I'm not satisfied with the shots, so I keep only two. On the first one a great tit is showing how great it is to the lesser blue tit:

There's some snow again, I make another try with the juniper branch.

The tits are coming to the seeds placed on the frozen pool:

Somehow the jays haven't come today, the sparrows stayed away too. I could hear the hawfinches but they haven't appeared in front of me I'm afraid.

Mikepércs: Winter Feeling Again

Today I would have liked to transmit the winter feeling again with my photos, so I purchased some nice frosty plants.

After the tits the jays appear soon, one of them lands on the snowy landing branch. In the next moments it makes a jump sweeping off almost all the frost from one of the plants :(
