Having a bit more light this morning, I left for photography again. Not long after I got into the hide, a big panic took place among the birds, and in the next moment I could see a sparrow hawk swooping down on them, but it wasn't successful this time and landed on a branch which was still visible for me:

It stayed there only for a few seconds then flew away. Silence took place for long minutes. Then slowly the birds started to come back:
Great Tit
Marsh Tit
Eurasian Tree Sparrow
The great spotted woodpeckers appeared as well, one of them landed just on the right place and stayed there for a few moments giving me the opportunity to take a shot:

One of the woodpeckers started pecking the ice of the frozen pool, perhaps it wanted to make an ice hole. There's no wonder, after having eaten so many seeds:

Strangely enough the jays haven't shown themselves many times, they came only for a few minutes to catch some seeds from the ground. The sparrow hawk however has made this morning quite exciting.
